Maya Modelling

The home of the forgotten is a little animation includes a rocking chair swaying mysteriously and an EMF meter being set of by ghostly presences.
My goal for this project was to simply create a creepy old room which had an eerie feeling to it that also gave off a haunted aspect.

Slot Machine

This slot machine was a really fun project to make. Machines like this fascinate me with all the flashing lights, the music and how it draws you in with pretty colours.
I designed all the textures using photoshop by hand drawing all the different symbols and stripes and was great experimentation using photoshop for textures for the first time.
It looks really nice and I like the way came out.

Steampunk Lamp
The steampunk lamp project was all about learning how to texture Maya objects properly using Substance painter.
This lamp texture was created using a mix of fill Layers for colour, a little bit of hand drawing on imperfections and a generated bump map that perfectly adds to the pipes.

Stitch Animation

One project I enjoyed doing was taking any character model we could find, link that to a video reference for our animation so then we could animate the character as if we were creating it there and then.
Stitch has to be one of my favourite little aliens and having the pleasure to animate him was great.

Project metamorphosis

This project was a university project that was set for us under the briefing called "Metamorphosis" That meaning when something goes from A to B.
I decided to do something that's not stereotypical like a butterfly transforming from Caterpillar to butterfly or the seasons changing from summer to autumn using a colour changing leaf.
Mine was a Castle going from A (Standing tall and strong), Then the destruction process to then B (A destroyed castle).
In the scene we follow a magic arrow that is controlled by the cyborg archer and obliterates the castle.

Collaboration project

This project was a lot of fun to work on. This involved a small group of university classmates who built this temple.
My responsibilities were to create the mountain and build the massive dragon head for the mountain.
The dragon head was the most thrilling part of this project because I had to use ZBrush in detail. Previous ZBrush projects were very basic with little to no details for learning purposes so I had to trial and error a lot until it was perfect.
This dragon head sparked a new love for sculpting and added a whole new skill set to my roster allowing me to experiment and create more soft surface models in the future.
The mountain was very simple to create consisting of a plane that had been modified to become mountains.
